Cancellation Policy

At Gorilla Trekking Tours, we understand that travel plans may change unexpectedly. To ensure clarity and fairness for both our clients and our operations, we have established the following cancellation policy. By booking with Gorilla Trekking Tours, clients acknowledge and agree to these terms.

 

Cancellation by the Client

Clients may cancel their booking at any time by providing written notice via email to Our Company Email. Cancellation is considered effective only when acknowledged in writing by Gorilla Trekking Tours.

Cancellation Charges

Cancellation charges are applied based on the timing of the written notice relative to the scheduled departure date:

More than 90 days Full refund, no cancellation fee
45–90 days 30% of the total booking cost
Less than 45 days 100% of the total booking cost
No-show 100% of the total booking cost

Exceptions

Certain bookings include items that are non-refundable, even if the cancellation is made well in advance:

  • Gorilla and chimpanzee permits and domestic flights are strictly non-refundable once purchased.
  • Some lodges, camps, and other accommodation providers may enforce stricter cancellation penalties, especially during peak travel seasons (December–February and May–July). Any such penalties will be clearly communicated in writing at the time of quoting.

 

Recommended Precautions

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to protect against unexpected cancellations and cover potential financial losses. Gorilla Trekking Tours is not responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen events beyond our control, including illness, travel restrictions, or personal emergencies.

 

Refund Process

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 14 working days from the acknowledgment of cancellation.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used during booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
